This Weekend in Central Oklahoma – April 14-16

Hop on over to the 12 counties of Frontier Country! It’s Easter weekend in Central Oklahoma, which means there are all types of festivities planned throughout Frontier Country!

Movie Nights in the Park – Edmond

Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and head to Mitch Park in Edmond this Friday!  The Trolls movie will be showing at 7 p.m. Admission is free and concessions are always $1. 

Meet the Easter Bunny – Norman

Enjoy a buffet breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday morning, April 15 from 9-10 a.m. at Andy Alligator’s Fun Park located off I-35 and Indian Hills Road in Norman.

The cost is $12.95 per person and includes the buffet breakfast. One child, age 2 and under, FREE with paid admission. You can upgrade to an Unlimited Fun Pass to take in all the fun things to do for an extra $10.95.

Easter Train – Oklahoma City

Come out to the Oklahoma Railway Museum in Oklahoma City on Saturday, April 15 and enjoy a train ride with the Easter Bunny! Train Rides are available for kids of all ages (0 to 99+) and leaves the Oakwood Depot at the museum at 9:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Tickets for 13 years and up is $12, 3 years to 12 years is $5, under 3 is free. Museum is open and free to the public, Thursday-Saturday.  A moon bounce and miniature golf is available for the kids!

Great Egg Hunt – El Reno

Discovery Church is hosting the Great Egg Hunt in El Reno at Adams Parks on Saturday, April 15. This FREE egg hunt will have thousands of eggs, inflatables, face painting, giveaways and free hotdogs.

Kids are not going to want to miss this all day event! Egg hunting areas are divided by age as well as an area for kids with special needs. Bring the whole family, everyone is invited! 

Spring Garden Tour – Oklahoma City

The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City is offering 45-minute tours of the Museum gardens, Saturday and Sunday, April 15 & 16. The museum is located at 1700 NE 63rd Street.

The Garden tours are at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Enjoy a plethora of plants and flowers native to the American West. Learn about the land in which the story of the West is rooted.

Easter Brunch – Oklahoma City

Join the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City as they welcome spring by celebrating Easter with brunch in the Sam Noble Special Events Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The brunch is provided by the Petroleum Club and will feature carving stations, a variety of vegetables, fresh salads and other tempting side offerings. An extensive dessert buffet will complete the menu.

Brunch tickets are $35 and includes tax, gratuity and Museum admission; $17.50 for children ages 5-10; children 4 years of age and younger eat free.
