Celebrate Fourth of July in Frontier Country

Do you love fireworks, free events and family fun as much as we do? We thought so!

We’ve mapped out some of central Oklahoma’s best Fourth of July events starting this weekend and going until the 4th. Who says you can only celebrate one day out of the year?

Start the festivities off early with Frontier City. On July 1st and 4th, enjoy a free fireworks display with your park admission! The fun starts at sunset in the Starlight Amphitheater.

There’s plenty to enjoy on July 3rd if you’re looking for back-to-back entertainment!

Yukon’s Freedom Fest starts July 3rd in City Park with live musical performances, free Freddy’s Frozen Custard and a dazzling fireworks show to top it all off!

If you’re in the city, join the Oklahoma City Philharmonic at State Fair Park for their 11th annual Red, White, and Boom concert. Starting at 8:30 p.m., enjoy a free concert followed by a grand fireworks display. Make sure to bring lawn chairs!

For those that are celebrating in Southeastern Frontier Country, pop into Seminole Monday night and take part in their family-friendly Independence Celebration!

Live music, inflatables, and family fun activities start at 5 p.m. and end at sunset with, you guessed it, another fireworks display!

We are full of fireworks in Frontier Country!

To finish off the festivities on July 4th you can head just about anywhere in central Oklahoma and find great fireworks. But we have few that we would highly recommend!

Enjoy a day packed with fun in Edmond at LibertyFest. Start the day off at 9:00 a.m. in Downtown Edmond at the LibertyFest Parade! Then, in the evening head to UCO for ParkFest. From 6:30 – 9 p.m. there will be family-friendly inflatables and rides, music from a local DJ, free watermelon and vendors for you to eat or shop with! Grab your lawn chairs and blankets for the 9:30 p.m. fireworks display.

If you’re west of I-35, celebrate in Yukon with their second day of Freedom Fest! Activities are happening all day, take your pick from a children’s parade, craft tent, car show, pony rides, inflatable and so much more. In the evening be sure to settle down for some live music, free watermelon and ice cream, a performance by the OKC Philharmonic and a spectacular fireworks show!
