Walk away with a better understanding of the diverse cultures that have shaped the West – but not before you check out The Museum Store for wonderful holiday gifts! Group Size is a minimum of 15 paying people to receive special rates | Adults $10.75; Seniors 62 and older $9.25 | An escort and driver are admitted complimentary.
Tax-exempt prices are available upon request. Payment must be made in one lump sum for everyone in your tour group. We accept cash, check or charge.
Territorial Christmas in Guthrie
Celebrate the holiday season by traveling to downtown Guthrie for Opening Night, the Lighted Parade with Parade Marshall, Santa, and for the inauguration of a new Territorial Governor. We’ll light the Territorial Christmas Tree and sing carols you’ve come to love.
During our Historic Homes Tour, Guthrie’s finest homes, churches and century old buildings will be dressed for the season and delighted to have visitors enjoy tales of their beginnings in the early days of Oklahoma’s First Capital. Come enjoy the hospitality of Guthrie residents who welcome you into their homes.
Enjoy what it was like to spend Christmas in the Territory… as it was in the early days when life slowed down to the speed of a horse and carriage, when family, friends and neighbors celebrated together in Oklahoma’s First Capital. Our two Victorian Walk Evenings are the highlights of Guthrie’s Territorial Christmas Celebration.
Nowhere else can you spend an evening strolling brick streets enjoying life as it was in Christmas’s past. Windows throughout the Downtown Historic District come alive with living scenes depicting the joys of the season.
There will be roving carolers and peanut vendors in the streets, shopkeepers, and elegant folks dressed for the celebration in period costumes and the welcoming ambiance you’ve come to expect in Historic Guthrie.
