You’ll explore the plant, the products and the culture of chocolate through the lenses of science, history and popular culture.

Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, Norman - Since the early 20th century, travel has been an important part of the American experience, especially the family vacations and road trips synonymous with summer vacations. Wanderlust: Travel and American Photography examines the role American highways and interstates have played in the migratory desires of the American people.

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, Oklahoma City - The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum offers its acclaimed annual exhibition featuring nearly 300 works by the finest contemporary Western artists. On display through Sept. 6.

City Arts Center, Oklahoma City - The exhibit features more than 40 watercolor costume sketches by Head and her large staff of artists, along with reproductions of designed costumes, photographs of the designer, assorted memorabilia, a compilation of film exerts and a replica of Edith Head's work station.

Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum, Oklahoma City - The exhibit will be a retrospective of internationally-recognized Western painter and sculptor Harold T. Holden's 40-year career. The exhibit is displayed in the Tulsa World Gallery at the museum.

Frontier City, Oklahoma City - Christian concert featuring Leeland, Group 1 Crew and Lincoln Brewster/ Park hours: 10:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Concert gates open at 6 p.m. Concert is free with park admission.

City Arts Center, Oklahoma City - The annual 5K run and 1 mile fun run will be held Saturday, August 14 throughout the Oklahoma State Fair Park. All proceeds will be used to allow City Arts Center to continue offering free admission into the Eleanor Kirkpatrick Gallery year round and keeping the arts alive for everyone in Oklahoma City. Fun for everyone, food, beverages and music will be available the night of the race!
