From car shows to BBQ contests, there is a multitude of events happening this weekend in central Oklahoma. Be sure to get out this weekend and try something! 

Friday 6/24:

For the concert goers out there don't miss Rachel Platten at Frontier City. All concerts are free with park admission, so be sure to get there early and try out some thrilling rides. For more information: 

Starting Friday and going through Saturday is the popular Chandler Hog Wild BBQ. This annual event is a KCBS sanctioned BBQ contest. Along with the contest, enjoy live entertainment, vendors and children's activities. For more information:

Saturday 6/25:

There are so many LibertyFest events happening in Edmond this weekend! On Saturday enjoy...

The Car Show at Hafer Park is free to the public to enjoy. If you would like to enter a car for judging the charge per vehicle is $20 day of the event. The car show begins at 8:00 am and will conclude at 2:00 pm. 

LibertyFest KiteFest has activities for both experienced and novice flyers. This event starts Saturday (9:30 am - 4:30 pm) and continues through Sunday (9:30 am - 4:00 pm)

For the rodeo fans, enjoy LibertyFest Rodeo at the Carl Benne Arena starting at 8:00 pm. Witness Bareback Riding, Barrel Racing, Bull Riding, Calf Roping, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling and Team Roping. The rodeo will continue on Sunday.

Sunday 6/26: 

Bring the entire family to Family Day at the Fred Jones Jr. Musuem of Art in Norman. From 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm explore art in the museum’s special exhibitions, and enjoy a variety of hands-on art activities for the entire family. Check out the School of Art and Art History Faculty Exhibition and a range of artist’s materials during this unique Family Day.

Continue the LibertyFest celebrations with more events...

Head to Earl's Rib Palace for the LibertyFest Road Rally. The Road Rally is designed as a fun family event and really easy to participate in. It is just like a scavenger hunt on wheels. Instructions/Driving Directions/and the Questions are given to you at the start line (Earl's Rib Palace). Follow the directions to tour all around the city answering questions as you go. Registration begins at 10:00 am and the price is $10 per vehicle. 

Enjoy a variety of foods at the LibertyFest Taste of Edmond. For $15 per person (Children 10 and under are free), enjoy over 40 restaurants from around the Edmond area. Eat all that you can between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm.
