  • Arcadia’s ‘claim to fame” is Pop’s which features over 700 types of pop and an old-fashioned diner! Located on Route 66, spot the iconic giant bottle of pop and you know you have arrived.
  • Visit Guthrie, home of the largest Historic Preservation District in the nation! Visit its many one of a kind shops and museums.
  • Experience historic Route 66. Its longest stretch runs through Oklahoma. Find wineries dotting the “mother road” along with all kinds of unique towns like Chandler and Stroud!
  • “An Affair of the Heart” celebrates 38 years and is one of the largest shows of its kind in the nation! Plan to come to the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in October or February!
  • Shawnee is as refreshing as it is exciting for a gal’s Getaway! Visit the lovely Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art and see Oklahoma’s only Egyptian mummy.
  • Stroll Edmond’s downtown to see over 100 public art sculptures scattered throughout the city.
  • Check-out the Bricktown Water Taxi in downtown OKC. Enjoy vibrant restaurants, sculptures, painted buildings & more!
  • Tap your feet while enjoying some fabulous Banjo playing at the American Banjo Museum in OKC!
  • Head to Stillwater for the birthplace of Red Dirt Music! Savor a plate full of hot cheese fries at Eskimo Joe’s!
  • Experience the best, Yukon’s Best! Known for outstanding festivals, check out Christmas in the Park; Sounds of the Season; Chisholm Trail & Crawfish Festival; Freedom Fest; Rock the Route & Oklahoma Czech Fest! Just west of OKC!
  • Head to Choctaw to dine at Old Germany Restaurant for the best food experience this side of Munich! Each Labor Day weekend thru the next week, attend Oktoberfest, for a not to be missed good time!
  • Ride an authentic rail trolley in historic downtown El Reno. Grab an onion burger at one of the diners around town!
  • Seminole is named for one of the Five Civilized Tribes that settled the area and has a deep, rich history in the oil industry. It’s home to an Oklahoma treasure, the Grisso Mansion!

Wheeler Ferris Wheel in OKC

The Wheeler Ferris Wheel is located in Wheeler District. The historic Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel now overlooks the skyline of Oklahoma City. Standing 100 feet tall on the south bank of the Oklahoma River, the Ferris Wheel was refurbished and installed in April 2016. The park area around it is a great place for food trucks to gather all while enjoying outdoor games.  Great place for an outdoor party!
