Spring Has Sprung in Oklahoma City
With temperatures rising and summer just around the corner, outdoor fun is beginning again in Frontier Country! In the past few weeks many attractions have opened back up for the spring and we could not be more excited.
One of my favorite activities in Oklahoma City is cruising down the river with Oklahoma River Cruises. The last time I was on the boat, we had a leisurely ride down the river and we were able to see the beautiful sites of the city. Cruising past the Boathouse District, taking in the lush Regatta Park and glancing at the Historic Stockyards City are just a few of the sites you'll take in while on the boat.
Along with the ferry service, Oklahoma River Cruises also offer a wonderful sunset cruise. This cruise runs on specific days June through September. The cruise runs for an hour and a half and guests enjoy appetizers, music and drinks.
Another family favorite that has opened for the season is Frontier City. For all the thrill seekers out there, the Brain Drain that opened in 2015 is perfect. Reaching 7 stories tall this looping ride fits right in with the other popular thrill rides at Frontier City. I particularly enjoy the water rides, my personal favorite being Mystery River Log Flume. I am sure not to leave the park without cotton candy or dippin' dots, they are the perfect summer snack.
