Stoney LaRue & the Arsenals “Rock the Route” in Yukon
FREE for All Ages Concert Part of Route 66 90th Anniversary Celebration
In celebration of the Mother Road’s 90th Anniversary, a new event is coming to Yukon’s Best Main Street, featuring Red Dirt superstar Stoney LaRue & the Arsenals! And here’s the best part: admission is FREE!
Presented by YNB, Rock the Route brings quality music to downtown Yukon on Thursday, September 1, from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Stoney LaRue & the Arsenals will perform a FREE concert with special guest, Wade Bowen, who is famous for his dense baritone with an autumnal warmth. Also joining them will be opening act Derek Paul and the Handsome Devils.
LaRue, a Texas native-turned-longtime Oklahoma resident, has become a Red Dirt/Texas Music circuit mainstay known for high-energy shows. His newest album, AVIATOR, includes a laid-back, conversational style that follows his internal call to chronicle life’s ups and downs.
The concert, as well as many other fun activities, will take over Main Street between 4th and 5th Streets. Food trucks will be parked nearby to satisfy appetites, and Main Street Businesses will stay open later than usual. Purchase tickets from Chester’s Party Barn to climb on a rock wall, ride a mechanical bull, stick to a giant Velcro wall, and more!
As if that weren’t enough, many Yukon’s Best Main Street businesses are offering sales that evening! Stop by your favorite Main Street business, or discover a new one while enjoying special savings!
Yukon’s Best Main Street would also like to thank additional sponsors, 99.7 Hank FM, Brewer Carpet One, Miller Pro Audio, and Kent Gering State Farm for their support of Rock the Route.
No tickets are necessary, but be sure to arrive early if you want a good view. For more information about Rock the Route, visit www.cityofyukonok.gov.
