Rock the Route Returns to Yukon
Rock the Route, Yukon’s popular FREE concert event, is returning on August 31 in celebration of the Chisholm Trail! Presented by YNB, this year features Randy Rogers Band with special guest, Reckless Kelly.
Yukon is one of the two places that the Chisholm Trail crosses Route 66, so this year Rock the Route is celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Chisholm Trail. Celebrate with quality music in downtown Yukon from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you like red dirt or country music, this is the event for you!
Randy Rogers Band is a regular chart topper. Their last four studio albums made their debut as #1 on the iTunes Country Albums Chart. Critically acclaimed, the Randy Rogers Band has earned well deserved praise in: Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, People, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Billboard, Pollstar, Entertainment Weekly, the New York Times, Washington Post, Cowboys & Indians and Country Weekly, among countless others. The band has earned 3 nominations for ACM Top Vocal Group of the Year.
Reckless Kelly sets a standard of reliable excellence and commitment to an instinctive vision of Americana. Their most recent album, Sunset Motel, was the 2017 Grammy Nominee for Best Recording Package.
The concert, as well as many other fun activities, will take over Main Street
between 4th and 5th Streets. Food trucks will be parked nearby to satisfy
appetites, and Main Street Businesses will stay open later than usual. Face painting and other fun kids’ activities are also available!
Rock the Route would not be possible without the help of generous sponsors. The City of Yukon would like to thank additional sponsor HANK FM.
No tickets are necessary, but be sure to arrive early if you want a good view. New this year, a limited amount of VIP tickets is available for purchase at $75 each. VIP tickets can be purchased online at www.eventbrite.com.
