CENTRAL OKLAHOMA – RIVERSPORT Adventures returns to the Boathouse District in Oklahoma City this March with many attractions along the Oklahoma River for people of all ages, including the world’s tallest adventures course at 80-feet, the SandRidge Sky Trail. Activities include the Rumble Drop, Sky Slide, Air Express Zip, Extreme Air Jumper, Cloud Bounce, Sky Tykes, Kids Zip, Bungee Trampolines, climbing walls, water sports, mountain bike course and much more. Attractions will be open on Saturdays and Sundays until May 19, then open daily from Memorial Day to August 24. Ticket prices vary.
Live horse racing returns March 7 to Remington Park in Oklahoma City with the beginning of the American Quarter Horse & Mixed-breed Season. The sport's first marquee season of Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa racing each year, the meeting runs through June 1 with the annual Oklahoma Futurity event taking place March 22.
The greatest names in professional rodeo test their skills at the annual Timed Event Championship of the World March 7-9 at Lazy E Arena in Guthrie. Watch the “who’s who” of rodeo’s greatest stars compete in five timed events – heading, heeling, tie-down roping, steer roping, steer wrestling. Performances are March 7-8 at noon and 7:30 p.m. and March 9 at 1 p.m. Ticket prices range from $25 to $45. Children 12 and under are admitted for free.
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Oklahoma River Cruises March 17 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Enjoy a climate-controlled, Irish-themed St. Patty’s Day Cruise along the Oklahoma River in Oklahoma City complete with light appetizers and a cash bar. Cost is $30 per person.
The Sooner Theatre in Norman announces Magic To Do: A Musical Montage, March 28-30 featuring favorites from Pippin, Les Miserables, Wicked, Phantom of The Opera, and Jesus Christ Superstar. See special performers from New York to LA come back home to join the talented young performers of The Studio of The Sooner Theatre for this musical celebration. Performances are at 8 p.m. March 28-29 and at 2 p.m. March 30. Tickets are $20-$25.
