CENTRAL OKLAHOMA – The following is a list of holiday events occurring in Frontier Country.

 

Nov. 21 – Dec. 30 Holiday Lights Spectacular

Joe B. Barnes Regional Park, Midwest City

Info:  The park is transformed into a twinkling winter wonderland with over one million lights featuring 80 dazzling displays, including the majestic 118-foot Christmas tree illuminated with 9,000 bulbs. You can even enjoy the lights from horse drawn carriage!  From I-40 exit Douglas Blvd. follow the snowflakes to wind through the South’s largest animated light collection. Gates open daily: 6 to 10 p.m. weekdays, 6 to 11 p.m. weekends.

 

Nov. 22 Opening of Christmas in the Park

Info: The 13th annual event features a spectacular drive through a holiday light display at three adjoining parks, covering more than 100 acres. Opening night features the Kris Kringle Karnival, Chill Your Cheeks Run, horse drawn carriage rides, live holiday music, pictures with Santa and more.  Free admission.  Donations accepted.
