CENTRAL OKLAHOMA - The following is a list of Halloween and fall harvest events occurring in Frontier Country.

 

Sept. 13 - 31 The Maize in Chickasha

Info: The 10-acre corn maize with a scarecrow design, 1-two acre smaller maze, haunted maze, hay rides, farm animal display, antique tractor display, corn and pumpkin cannons.

 

Sept. 20 - Nov. 8 Pumpkin Field Hayrides

Info: Take a hayride to the Pumpkin Patch to pick a 'Sugar Pie' pumpkin, which is known to make the best pumpkin pies. There will be all sizes of pumpkins -- including the giant ones -- for sale, as well as decorative gourds. Come early to get the best choices! And don't forget to get a free sample of delicious pumpkin butter at the Train Station.

 

Sept. 22 - 31 Shawnee Maze & Pumpkin Patch

Oct. 23 - 31 Storybook Forest

Info: From 5:30 to 7: 30 p.m., $5 per child, adults free. Children collect candy from characters set in storybook scenes. A hayride takes you back to the start where you can roast marshmallows or warm up with some hot chocolate.
