Frontier Country Marketing Meeting Focuses on State's Advertising Campaign
OKLAHOMA CITY – Frontier Country Marketing Association holds its monthly “Hour with an Expert” marketing meeting 10 a.m. Apr. 23 at Ackerman McQueen offices with guest speaker Hardy Watkins, executive director of the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department.
Watkins will discuss the state’s 2008 advertising campaign, which capitalizes on the success of the 2007 Centennial Celebration. During the presentation, members will get to view OTRD’s new television commercials and learn about the branding efforts that bring travelers to Oklahoma.
“Our membership depends on the tourism department to open the door to potential visitors,” said Tony Vann, executive director of Frontier Counter Marketing Association. “However, our foot is in the door as central Oklahoma captures the lion’s share of tourism dollars in our state.”
The marketing meeting is open to all Frontier Country Marketing Association members. Reservations are required; call 405-232-6552. Frontier Country Marketing Association, a 501 c-6 organization, promotes the economic growth of the tourism industry in the 12 central counties of Oklahoma.
