Frontier Country Marketing Association, members win top tourism awards
OKLAHOMA CITY – Frontier Country Marketing Association and several of its members were honored May 8 at the annual RedBud Awards during National Tourism Week (May 5-13). Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb and Discover Oklahoma host Jenifer Reynolds presented the prestigious awards to the tourism industry at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City.
"We are extremely proud of our area members that received awards at the annual RedBuds," said Sherri Rogers, Executive Director of Frontier Country Marketing Association. "We all work hard to promote our outstanding events, attractions and communities in central Oklahoma Frontier Country, and it’s great to be recognized.”
The 2012 RedBud Awards included top honors in 16 categories. Entries were evaluated by out-of-state judges based on criteria including customer service, marketing effectiveness, media relations, variety of audiences reached, value and overall creativity.
Frontier Country Marketing Association along with its members took home 10 of the 32 RedBud and Merit Awards in a variety of categories. 2012 RedBud Award winners located in Frontier Country are:
