The following is a truncated list of events occurring in Central Oklahoma Frontier Country.

CENTRAL OKLAHOMA – Celebrate the Christmas season with a decidedly Native twist at the Third Annual Red Earth Treefest through January 5. Red Earth Treefest features 25 Christmas trees adorned with handmade ornaments created by 25 Oklahoma Native Tribes to highlight the diverse Native cultures that make Oklahoma unique. In addition to the season-long Red Earth Treefest, the Red Earth Christmas Market featuring Oklahoma Native artists selling their artwork, will be held Saturday, December 9 in the lobby of Oklahoma City’s Cotter Tower located next to the Red Earth Art Center.
2nd Friday Norman Art Walk – a monthly, citywide celebration of art – is a collaboration between artists, art organizations, and businesses, brought to you by the Norman Arts Council. December’s Art Walk will be a two-night event taking place Saturday along with the Main Street Christmas parade starting at 5 p.m.
The Christmas Train is coming to the Oklahoma Railway Museum December 9, 16 and 17. Come see Santa and Mrs. Claus, sing Christmas Carols and hear a reading of Christmas stories! Enjoy hot cocoa and cookies after your ride. Smiley O’Riley from Dental Depot will be handing out goodie bags to all of the children.
On December 9 and 16, Guthrie’s Territorial Christmas- Victorian Walk Nights features free living window displays, live music, and Victorian splendor in Historic Downtown Guthrie from 5- 9 p.m. On December 9th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., tour many of the beautiful homes and historic buildings in Guthrie in a self-guided, self-paced tour! Pick up your $15 tickets at the Frontier Drugstore Museum at 214 W. Oklahoma Ave. beginning at 9 a.m.
