CENTRAL OKLAHOMAYukon celebrates their Czech heritage with the Yukon Czech Festival Oct. 2 in downtown Yukon. Beginning at 9 a.m., this free festival includes a parade, carnival, crafts, Czech dancing and food and a coronation. The Oklahoma City Zoo hosts its annual Pumpkin Drive Oct. 1-10. Zoo guests that bring a pumpkin larger than their head will receive free Zoo admission. For more information: okczoo.com.

Eskimo Joe’s Juke Joint Jog benefitting the United Way is Oct. 9 in Stillwater. The Juke Joint Jog features a 5K sanctioned run at 5 p.m. and one-mile fun run at 4:30 p.m. along with a family fun zone for kids, hotdogs and drinks for runners and their families and an awards ceremony. The biggest day of Remington Park’s Thoroughbred racing season is the 22nd annual Oklahoma Derby Oct. 10. Family fun at Remington Park begins at noon with inflatables, animals, Orr family train, live music and more.
