Central Oklahoma's Event November-December Calendar Now Available

The following is a truncated list of events occurring in Frontier Country:

CENTRAL OKLAHOMA - The popular month-long Downtown in December kicks off 5:30 p.m. Nov. 28 with a tree lighting ceremony in Bricktown followed by a parade on the Oklahoma River. Patrons can also enjoy strolling through the decorated Myriad Botanical Gardens, ice skating, snow tubing, canal rides, and free access on Sundays to several museums. Opening of Christmas in the Park will take place Nov. 22 at the Yukon City Park. The 13th annual event features a spectacular drive-through holiday light display at three adjoining parks, covering more than 100 acres. Opening night features the Kris Kringle Karnival, Chill Your Cheeks Run, horse-drawn carriage rides, live holiday music, pictures with Santa and more.

From mutton bustin' and peewee calves to senior bulls, the National Junior Bullriders Association Finals put a new spin on an extreme sport with the youngest bullriders on the planet. It all happens at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center in Shawnee Nov. 19 to 23.  Enjoy bullriding performances, family fun, trade show-cowboys and more.

Don't miss The Holiday Lights Spectacular at the Joe B. Barnes Regional Park in Midwest City running Nov. 21 thru Dec. 31. The park is transformed into a twinkling winter wonderland with over one million lights featuring 80 dazzling displays, including the majestic 118-foot Christmas tree illuminated with 9,000 bulbs
