Don’t miss The Music of Billy Joel and More
starring Michael Cavanaugh at 8 p.m., Nov. 5-6, at the Civic Center. The
program features music that spans Joel’s career and Cavanaugh performs with high
energy piano and vocal skills that rival the “Piano Man” himself. For

The Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum offers free admission Nov. 16 during their Statehoood Day Celebration in honor of Oklahoma’s 103rd birthday. The Museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m., the Museum Store will host a celebration with discounts, a food tasting and wine tastings by StableRidge Winery and Put a Cork In It. The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum hosts their annual Small Works, Great Wonders Winter Art Sale with a reception Nov. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. This fundraiser featuring works from Prix de West and other select artists. Downtown in December begins Nov. 26 with the SandRidge Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:30 p.m. Downtown in December continues through Jan. 2, 2011 and features activities including Chesapeake Snow Tubing at the Brick, Devon Ice Rink, the Sonic Segway Santa, OK CityScape LEGO display and more.
