CENTRAL OKLAHOMA - Entertain mom on her special day Sunday, May 10, by taking her to one of central Oklahoma's Frontier Country restaurants, shops or attractions, that are offering discounts and special events in honor of mom.

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum

            Start out in Oklahoma City's Adventure District for Mother's Day. Oklahoma City Zoo

            After a delicious lunch, take mom on a wild safari at the Oklahoma City Zoo. See native Oklahoma animals in the Oklahoma Trails exhibit, plus gorillas, chimpanzees and orangutans at Great EscApe. See lions, tigers and snow leopards at Cat Forest and Lion Overlook and watch aquatic animals from around the globe at the Noble Aquatic Center: Aquaticus. Moms enjoy free admission with any paid admission.

Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History

Also, be sure to check out "One Hundred Summers: A Kiowa Calendar Record," a special exhibition featuring the art of renowned Kiowa artist Silver Horn, on display May 1 through Aug. 23.
