CENTRAL OKLAHOMA – Join the Edmond Farmer’s Market Saturdays through October at the Festival Market Place & Plaza. Teachers, school staff, and their families are invited to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum’s Back to School Bash on August 23 to discover what museums and student-based organizations across the Oklahoma City metro and around the state are offering in the upcoming school year. From 5 to 7 p.m., educators and museum staff will be on hand to answer questions about field trips, free teacher resources, special events, and other opportunities for schools and students. Door prizes will be presented throughout the evening to teachers with identification. Light hors d’oeuvres provided. Admission to the event is free; registration is preferred. Slide Outta Summer and wind down with us at this all-ages event at Mitch Park on August 25. Featuring 9 inflatable water slides, DJ Shorty B and food trucks! A $5 wristband will allow sliders to slide from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and food is for purchase from the trucks. Sliders must be 4 years of age to be on the inflatables, though other free activities will be available for younger kids. For more information, visit edmondparks.com.
