CENTRAL OKLAHOMA – The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is teaming up with the Salvation Army and regional artists in the fight against hunger. “Doing All We Can to Help” is an exhibit with artwork that references canned foods including artworks created on cans or from can materials and artworks that include representations of cans. The exhibit is on display through Nov. 22. Admission is free for each visitor donating one canned food item. For more information visit www.mgmoa.org

CENTRAL OKLAHOMA – Central Oklahoma’s Frontier Country is home to two Big XII schools, the University of Oklahoma in Norman and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Both expect competitive football teams this season and large crowds filling the stands. Teams continue regular season play through Nov. 28.

CENTRAL OKLAHOMA – Children of all ages will love to take a train ride at the Oklahoma Railway Museum Aug. 1. The train leaves from Oakwood Depot at the museum at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for ages 15 and up, $5 for ages three-14 and children under three are free.
