CENTRAL
OKLAHOMA – The Gaylord-Pickens
Oklahoma Heritage Museum debuts The
Cowboy Way Aug. 6. The exhibit will be a
retrospective of internationally-recognized Western painter and sculptor Harold
T. Holden's 40-year career. The exhibit is on display through Nov. 30.
The opening reception for The Cowboy Way

21st Oklahoma Indian Nations Pow Wow is Aug. 6-8 in El Reno. See traditional Native American dancers in all their
regalia along with crafts, food, Buffalo Run, contests and more entertainment
for the whole family. For

Experience one of Shakespeare's most thrilling
and popular plays as Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park performs Romeo and Juliet. Performances take place at Bicentennial Park
in Downtown Oklahoma City at 8 p.m. each Thursday, Friday and Saturday Aug. 12
through Sept. 4. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. For

Live Thoroughbred
racing season begins Aug. 19 at Remington Park in Oklahoma City’s Adventure
District. Live racing takes place Wednesdays (beginning Aug. 25), Thursdays, Fridays
and Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. Thoroughbred
racing season continues through Dec. 11. Visit remingtonpark.com for more

Stockyards City’s annual Run
with the Bulls 5K race is Aug. 28 through Historic Stockyards City in Oklahoma
City. Runners will gather at the gates
of the Oklahoma National Stockyards and after the race, runners enjoy free
hamburgers compliments of Cattlemen's Steakhouse. Registration and
check-in begins at 6:30 a.m. and the race starts at 7:30 a.m. For more information visit stockyardscity.org.
