CENTRAL OKLAHOMA – Sept.
4-6 marks the 32nd annual Arts
Festival Oklahoma at Oklahoma City Community College where festival-goers
may view and purchase original artwork and handicrafts, listen to live
performances and sample a diverse selection of food. Arts Festival Oklahoma is
produced and hosted by Oklahoma City Community College. For more information:

Choctaw’s
20th annual Oktoberfest
Sept. 8-11 is a celebration of German tradition complete with traditional folk
dancing, singing, authentic costumes and a variety of beers and German food
prepared by Old Germany Restaurant. The family-friendly festival at Choctaw
Creek Park features a variety of entertainment for those of all ages. For more

Mustang’s
34th annual Western Days
Festival is Sept. 10-11 at the intersection of Mustang Road and State Highway
152. The festival includes a chili cook-off, carnival, rodeo, car show, music
and entertainment, parade, food and more free fun for the whole family. For

Historic
re-enactors portray individuals interred at the Fort Reno Post Cemetery in El
Reno between 1874 and 1948 during Historic Fort Reno’s Tombstone Tales Sept. 18. Performances are at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
with a chuck wagon lunch at noon. For more information: 405-262-3987,

The Oklahoma Railway Museum in Oklahoma City
features a Day Out With Thomas Sept.
24-26 and Oct. 1-3. The event includes
a 25 minute
ride with Thomas the Tank Engine where children can also meet Sir Topham Hat,
enjoy story-telling, live music and more. Tickets for ages two and up are $16 online and $18 at the door. For more
