The following is a truncated list of events occurring in Frontier Country:

CENTRAL OKLAHOMA – Experience Downtown in December Nov. 27 through Jan. 3 in downtown Oklahoma City. Go snow tubing down the nation's largest manmade slope or go ice skating at an outdoor rink. Plus take a free water taxi excursion along the winding Bricktown Canal or Oklahoma River cruise. Visit the Harn Homestead Museum in Oklahoma City Dec. 3 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for a Territorial Christmas Celebration. Tour the historic buildings and grounds, take a hay ride around the property, create Victorian holiday crafts and visit with Santa. The Harn Homestead Museum’s gift shop will be open featuring fun toys and trinkets. General admission is $5, $4 for seniors and military and children 3 and under and Harn Homestead Museum members get in free.

Celebrate the holidays with Central Oklahoma Ballet’s 16th production of the Nutcracker Ballet Dec. 5-6 at the Yukon Fine Arts Auditorium. Performance times are Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. For more information or tickets visit www.CentralOKBallet.org.

Join Santa for a Christmas Train ride at the Oklahoma Railway Museum in Oklahoma City Dec. 19 with hot chocolate, carols and storytelling. Trains run at 9, 10 and 11 a.m., noon, 1:30 and 3 p.m. Call 405-424-8222 to purchase tickets.
