Info: Horndeski combines math, science and art in his expressionistic paintings. Horndeski was an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Math at the University of Waterloo, before starting to paint in 1981. He proposed his scalar-tensor theory in 1974. A self-taught painter, Horndeski lists Van Gogh, Magritte and Pollock as primary influences in shaping his style.
