Guthrie
Guthrie is located 30 minutes and 100 years north of Oklahoma City on I-35. Historic Guthrie, Oklahoma's Territorial and First State Capital, struggled politically to retain the title after statehood. Three years later, under the cover of night, the state seal was moved to Oklahoma City, and with it the designation as state capital. Guthrie is referred to as "the Williamsburg of the West," and the U.S. Department of the Interior recently named Guthrie a National Landmark Community. Also known as the Bed and Breakfast Capital of Oklahoma, Guthrie should be at the top of your travel list. Guthrie Offers Visitors:
