Bethany

The City of Bethany is a bedroom community nestled in the northwest Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Established on March 11, 1913, Bethany retains much of its turn-of-the-century charm. The city is saturated with a number of amenities that contribute to its appeal as a place to live, work, and conduct business. It is home to 25 churches and 16 parks and its traditional values are appealing to families of all sizes, faiths, and ethnicities. It is also home to two universities – Southern Nazarene University and Southwestern Christian University. Two independent school districts and two technology districts also service the city.

Bethany is blessed with many great educational alternatives. Two public schools districts serve Bethany, each with many advantages. Both districts have strong foundations, are successful in athletics, produce Academic All-Staters, and have excellent student/teacher ratios. Two technology districts, two universities, and two private post-secondary schools also service the city. Bethany is also part of a metropolitan area that includes the University of Oklahoma, and many other educational opportunities.
