Info: A special exhibition featuring the art of renowned Kiowa artist Silver Horn. The calendar record illustrates 100 years of Kiowa history through pictorial vignettes marking two seasons each year; one for summer and one for winter. The exhibit will highlight a never-before-exhibited treasure to educate the public about the political, religious, economic and social spheres of Kiowa life in a century of dramatic change and adaptation. The exhibit also demonstrates the importance of conserving invaluable works of ethnographic art and showcases the science behind object conservation in the stewardship of museum collections. This exhibit is made possible by the Kirkpatrick Foundation and the Merkel Family Foundation.
