Henry Overholser Mansion

The Henry Overholser Mansion stands as a tribute to one of Oklahoma City’s truly remarkable families. The three story home retains its original furnishings and fixtures, which provides a unique experience to the public, as visitors are able to enter another time and see the Mansion as the Overholser family did. Mr. Overholser arrived in Oklahoma City in 1889 and was involved with nearly every aspect of the city’s growth until his death in 1915. He built over 35 buildings, including two opera houses, the United States Courthouse, and the State Fairgrounds. He was the founding president of the Board of Trade, today known as the Chamber of Commerce, and was involved with the County Commission, the first water works project, and the first trolley car system.
